“OXI” (NO) day is celebrated in Greece, Cyprus and Greek communities around the world on October 28th each year. “OHI” day commemorates the rejection of the Greek Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas of the ultimatum made by Italian dictator Mussolini on 28th of October, 1940, the Hellenic counterattack against the invaders at the mountains of Pindus during the Greco-Italian war and the Greek resistance during the Axis occupation. “AERA” !!
